We are seeking a Production Manager with stage management experience to join our youth theater program. This is an ideal opportunity for an organized, collaborative theater professional who loves working with young people and understands the unique needs of youth productions.

The Production Manager will oversee the logistical and operational aspects of productions from rehearsal through performance, working closely with producers, department heads, teaching artists, families, young performers, and theater venues.

At the heart of this role is creating a safe, organized, encouraging, and positive theater experience for young people
. The successful candidate will be able to manage schedules, people, paperwork, budgets, and production logistics while remaining flexible, patient, and supportive.

• Must be available to work in person every Saturday from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM as the Stage Manager for our Advanced Musical Theater Class
• Previous Stage Management experience is required.
• Experience working in youth theater, children's theater, education, or other youth-focused performing arts environments is strongly preferred.
• Must be comfortable working directly with young performers and helping create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Draft production contracts with assistance from department heads and producers as needed.
• Create and maintain essential production paperwork, including:
  • Production calendars
  • Run orders
  • Run sheets
  • Props tracking sheets
  • Other production and rehearsal documents as needed
• Schedule and lead production meetings with the creative departments throughout the rehearsal and technical processes.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication between producers, department heads, creative teams, families, and the venue.
• Supervise and maintain each department's budget in collaboration with the appropriate department heads.
• Assist with communicating, organizing, and coordinating parent/guardian-provided group meals during tech week at the performance venue.
• Maintain a professional relationship with the theater venue and ensure that all venue rules, regulations, policies, and requirements are followed.
• Manage all tech and performance days, ensuring the production schedule is executed in a timely, organized, and respectful manner.
• Assist departments with production needs and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Help create a calm and supportive backstage environment for young performers.
• Prioritize the safety, well-being, and positive experience of young people throughout rehearsals, tech, and performances.
• Step in wherever needed to support the successful execution of the production.
