About the Role:Misfits Market is seeking a Social Video Editor & Producer to bring our brand story to life through short-form video. Reporting to the Creative Director, this role sits at the intersection of brand and production, pairing strong storytelling instincts with production speed and a willingness to test and iterate. You'll film and edit short-form video, from brand and organic content to performance ads, that builds awareness and consideration for Misfits Market and tells our story across Meta, You Tube, Tik Tok, and emerging channels.
You’ll thrive here if you love crafting thumb-stopping stories about the food system and the farmers, producers, and products behind it, can quickly adapt to Misifits’ established tone and visual style, and also enjoy working fast and testing relentlessly to see what resonates.
Responsibilities:- Create and edit video content for organic social, onsite, and paid social
- Collaborate closely with Growth marketing to execute video ad concepts that drive new customer signups, and testing new messaging, hooks, formats, and visuals to improve CAC and ROAS.
- Produce iterations of winning ads (new hooks, cutdowns, CTA variants) based on performance learnings shared by Growth
- Stay plugged in to social video trends, competitor creative, and platform innovations that can inform our brand strategy
- Be an internal champion for storytelling that’s strategic, data-informed, and distinctly Misfits with creative guidance from the Brand team
- Execute video concepts by filming in whatever setting best brings the idea to life, whether that’s at home, outdoors, or on location—with occasional travel as needed.
- Maintain content library to organize video assets, including b-roll, UGC-sourced footage, and other internal footage to support creative remixing and scalability
Qualifications:
- You have 2–3 years of experience in short-form video production for a brand; ideally you’ve also have experience creating ads that have directly driven purchases, subscriptions, or sign-ups.
- A proactive and resourceful individual who isn't afraid to innovate. You can quickly turn a brief into a polished video, from shooting on your phone to editing and delivering, all within the same week. You're comfortable getting scrappy to bring new ideas to life.
- You have a strong understanding of brand marketing principles, what drives consumer purchase behavior, and how to translate that into compelling, customer‑centric video content.
