$40/hr - $45/hr
Position Overview:The Men's Sports Apparel Designer
- Graphic Design will develop creative, trend-right product for the men's sportswear market. This role will focus on designing apparel such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, basketball shorts, and headwear, with a strong emphasis on creating original graphics.
This is a 3+ month contract assignment with potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities of the Men's Sports Apparel Designer- Graphic Design:
- Design seasonal men's sportswear collections, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, shorts, and headwear.
- Create original, trend-relevant graphics for men's sports apparel.
- Develop T-shirt and garment graphics from concept through execution.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to develop products aligned with brand direction and market trends.
- Conduct trend and market research and translate insights into new design concepts.
- Apply knowledge of colour, fabric, garment construction, and overall apparel design to create commercially viable product.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Graphic Design:
- 4+ years of men's apparel design and/or graphic design experience.
- Experience designing graphics specifically for sportswear or men's apparel.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating T-shirt and apparel graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Ability to create original graphics for products such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, shorts, and headwear.
- Strong understanding of men's fashion, sportswear, graphics, colour, and trends.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a design team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Graphic Design:
- Experience with in the men's sportswear or active wear market.
- Experience designing graphics for licensed, branded, or fashion-driven sports products.
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and apparel development.
- Strong trend research and market awareness.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
