Job Overview

The Banking Associate is a customer‑facing role that delivers TD’s brand promise at a branch location. The associate accurately completes everyday banking transactions, provides advice and educational support on services, products and tools, and helps customers achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions on the teller line or through the platform, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and account changes.
  • Open new accounts and provide product education on personal deposit, debit/credit cards, digital banking, and other services.
  • Offer consultative support and proactive insights to build trust and deepen customer relationships.
  • Utilize TD systems to acquire, deepen, and retain customer relationships and refer clients to appropriate team members or bank partners.
  • Manage leads, including creation, prioritization, and follow‑up through outbound calls, SMS, and appointment scheduling.
  • Serve as the first point of contact in the lobby, orchestrate walk‑in traffic, and handle customer inquiries or resolution needs.
  • Adhere to all compliance policies, risk controls, and regulatory requirements, completing required training and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of actions and be responsive to audit and regulator requests.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience (volunteer, education, military acceptable).
  • Teller experience preferred.
  • Completion of teller training and part 1 of platform training required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills—concise, clear, and consistent.
  • Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making ability with sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Notary license preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
