Position

Position: Event Toyota Arena & Ontario Convention Center Parking Lot Attendant

Department: Parking

Reports To: Parking Lead/Manager

Classification: Part-time/On-call/Event based

Compensation: $18.00 an hour

Position Summary

To assist guests of facilities with directions, information, and guidance in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner, while fulfilling the specific event requirements as determined by the Parking Managers and/or Director of Security. This position will be responsible for event shifts and must report to work no later than 3pm during event days.

Essential Functions
  • Greets and welcomes guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Directs guests to parking spaces.
  • Answers questions regarding parking procedures.
  • Prohibits unauthorized vehicles from entering restricted areas.
  • Receives payment of parking fees and makes accurate change.
  • Balances unsold parking tickets.
  • Sets up and places parking before and after each event.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
Experience, Training, and Education

License/Certificate: None required.

Knowledge, Abilities, and

Skills:

  • Deals diplomatically with the public, supervisors, and fellow employees.
  • Maintains effective verbal communications.
  • Uses radio devices.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 30lbs throughout the day, as well as working at a computer. Irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, will be required. The position may involve working inside or outside of the building, stooping and lifting, and working in adverse conditions.

Must be able to pass a background check.
