As a Customer Support Specialist, you play a key role in providing exceptional service to Baldor’s customers. You are expected to have a strong understanding of Baldor products, policies, and systems to communicate effectively and support customer needs. Your goal is to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention while contributing to overall sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Engagement:
Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls, emails, and chats. Provide prompt, professional, and accurate responses to customer inquiries. - Order Management:
Accurately enter, update, and track customer orders while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency. - Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve customer concerns with empathy and urgency, offering appropriate solutions and following up to ensure satisfaction. - Upselling & Cross‑Selling:
Identify opportunities to recommend new or alternative products that meet customer needs and support company sales goals. - Collaboration:
Partner with internal departments, including Sales, Operations, and Logistics to ensure smooth order fulfillment and positive customer experiences. - Documentation:
Maintain clear, accurate records of all customer interactions and feedback within company systems (e.g., Zendesk, Ring Central, Microsoft Dynamics). - Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about new products, seasonal offerings, and company updates to better assist customers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. - 1+ year of experience in a call center, customer service, or inside sales environment.
- Strong communication and active listening skills, with a professional and friendly phone manner.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Zendesk, Ring Central, Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Passion for food and knowledge of the restaurant industry is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Multilingual abilities a plus.
- Availability to work weekends or extended hours as needed.
