Part-Time Telephone Operator - Brooklyn

Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Part-Time Telephone Operator - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate will provide service for telephone communications and code/trauma conditions.

• Operate communications system telephone switchboard
• Contact all hospital personnel in emergency situations
• Maintain code book
• Maintain telephone database
• Interact appropriately with different levels of management
• Page trauma groups
• Announce over‑head emergency calls
• Follow fire alarm emergency procedures
• Answer emergency elevator calls
• Follow specific procedures for Code Trauma Condition

• High school diploma required
• Two years of telephone experience in healthcare, a hotel, or a large institutional environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
