We bring travelers together in the largest hostel network in the USA, but that’s just the start from local tours and experiences, to experiential learning programs, HI USA strives to bring moments of cultural understanding to our guests and community members. HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that reinvests our surpluses back into our hostels and programs so they can have an even greater impact, year after year.

looking for friendly volunteers to lead HI NYC guests on a leisurely group bike ride (up to 8 guests) through the city. This is a great opportunity to share your favorite neighborhoods, scenic routes, and local recommendations while connecting with people from around the world and creating memorable experiences for HI NYC guests. No formal tour guide experience is necessary--just enthusiasm, confidence riding a bike, and a willingness to engage with visitors from around the world.

• Meet new people from all over the world, including travelers, staff, and fellow volunteers
• Help bring people together and facilitate cultural exchange
• Build skills in public speaking, foreign languages, intercultural communication, and more
• Earn a HI USA membership and overnights at HI USA hostels
• Training provided and flexible schedule
• Have fun while making a difference

Please note that HI USA does not offer work/trade or free accommodations in return for volunteering at our HI USA hostels.
