Seasonal Museum Customer Service Associate

One of my top clients, a world-renowned NYC cultural institution, is seeking several Customer Service Associates to join their team from early October through late January.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who love the arts, enjoy helping people, and have experience in customer service, call centers, administration, reception, or customer support.

• $25/hour
• Fully onsite in Manhattan
• 4 days per week (28 hours)
• 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule- 7 hour work days with 1-hour unpaid lunch
• Assigned schedule: either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday each week
• Seasonal contract through late January

What You'll Be Doing

• Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat
• Assisting with catalog requests and merchandise orders
• Processing returns and return merchandise requests
• Updating customer records, mailing lists, and address files
• Performing data entry and general administrative support
• Managing inbound and outbound customer communications
• Entering orders into company systems and maintaining accurate records

What We're Looking For

• Strong phone-based customer service skills
• Call center, customer support, reception, administrative, or office experience
• Excellent communication and conversational skills
• Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
• Genuine interest in museums, arts, culture, or public-facing organizations
• Professional, dependable, and customer-focused mindset

This role reports directly to the hiring manager, who will meet with selected candidates prior to hire.
