Recreation Assistant NF-02

Responsibilities

• Proactively circulate among patrons to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, resolve complaints, and provide expert instruction on the safe and proper use of facilities and equipment.
• Spearhead the planning, publicity, and execution of special events, social activities, and tournaments, coordinating all logistical support to ensure successful functions.
• Provide hands‑on patron assistance by demonstrating new equipment, teaching instructional classes, and managing the equipment checkout process to enhance user experience and safety.
• Act as a key point of contact and guide within the facility, offering information, resolving issues, and providing work guidance to staff members to maintain a service‑oriented environment.

• At least six (6) months of work experience dealing with the general public.
• Resume must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities for this position.
• Willingness to accept intermittent, on‑call employment.
• Ability to work irregular schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and unique events.

• Direct deposit and a valid Social Security Card are required.
• Meet all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
• A one‑year probationary period may be required.
• Successfully complete an employment verification (E‑Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of all pre‑employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215‑3.
• Successfully undergo a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
• Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.

• Candidates must live within 100 miles of Fort Drum, NY.
• Non‑U.S. nationals must have lived in the U.S. or a U.S. Territory for at least three years in a row immediately before starting this job.
