Security Concierge​/Cannabis Concierge

Kaya Bliss is a licensed New York cannabis dispensary focused on safe, compliant, and customer-centered cannabis retail. Our team is responsible for creating a professional, welcoming, and secure experience for every guest, vendor, and team member who enters the dispensary.

We are looking for Security Concierges who understand that this role is more than security. The Security Concierge is the first point of contact for the dispensary and is responsible for balancing hospitality, safety, compliance, customer flow, and front-door control.

The Security Concierge / Cannabis Concierge is responsible for greeting customers, verifying , monitoring the entrance, supporting safe customer flow, answering phones, assisting with vendor check-in, receiving shipments, and communicating with leadership throughout the shift.

This role requires professionalism, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and courteous in a high-volume, regulated retail environment.

• Greet customers, visitors, vendors, and team members in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Serve as the first point of contact for the dispensary and create a positive first impression.
• Verify customer identification according to company policy and cannabis compliance requirements.
• Maintain control of the entrance and ensure only eligible customers enter the dispensary.
• Monitor customer flow, lines, waiting areas, and front-of-store activity.
• Provide basic direction to customers regarding check-in, shopping process, pickup orders, and general store flow.
• Answer phones professionally and direct calls or questions to the appropriate team member or department.
• Assist with vendor check-in, visitor management, and delivery or shipment intake procedures.
• Support receiving by communicating vendor arrivals and following company check-in expectations.
• Observe customer behavior, safety concerns, unusual activity, or potential disruptions.
• De-escalate customer concerns when appropriate and involve leadership when needed.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, sales floor staff, fulfillment, and leadership throughout the shift.
• Help maintain a clean, orderly, and professional front entrance and customer waiting area.
• Follow all company SOPs, safety expectations,  requirements, and cannabis compliance procedures.
• Support emergency procedures, incident reporting, and leadership direction when necessary.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have strong customer service, security, hospitality, concierge, reception, or front-door experience.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts, including weekends, evenings, holidays, openings, and closings as needed.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long durations during scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to verify identification accurately and consistently.
• Must be able to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, coworkers, supervisors, and leadership.
• Must be able to follow detailed procedures related to , customer entry, safety, vendor check-in, and cannabis compliance.
• Must be able to complete required company and cannabis compliance training.

• Previous security, concierge, front desk, reception, hospitality, retail, or customer-facing experience.
• Previous dispensary, cannabis, regulated retail, or high-volume retail experience.
• Experience with customer de-escalation or crowd management.
• Experience answering phones or directing customer inquiries.
• Experience checking IDs or working in an age-restricted environment.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

• Ability to stand and walk for long durations.
• Ability to remain positioned near the front entrance for extended periods.
• Ability to observe customer flow, lines, and front-of-store activity.
• Ability to lift, carry, reach, bend, or assist with shipments and supplies as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interaction.
