Full Time Medical Receptionist Floater – Queens Offices
ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP and Hümi are seeking a self‑motivated, people‑friendly Medical Receptionist Floater to support our clinical offices in Astoria, Bay Ridge West, Forest Hills, Fresh Meadows, and Manhasset.
Responsibilities- Travel to designated locations assigned by regional managers each week.
- Cover as Patient Representative, Switchboard, and Surgical Coordinator when on site.
- Assist the Practice Site Administrator with all front‑office tasks and special projects.
- Serve as on‑site liaison for the Operations Department during mergers, acquisitions, and go‑live events.
- Prepare the office in the morning by powering up equipment, turning phones on service, and collecting messages.
- Answer incoming calls, book appointments for physicians, audiology, and allergy services, and take messages as needed.
- Generate and update daily appointment schedules; maintain accurate records of no‑shows, double bookings, and weekly logs.
- Greet all patients, verify identification and insurance details, and ensure completion of required paperwork.
- Enter patient information promptly; spot‑check incomplete records before patients leave the office.
- Scan all paperwork into the EHR system and verify insurance coverage at each visit.
- Update patient records for changes in address, phone number, or other pertinent information.
- Verify that HMO patients have a valid referral before being seen.
- Create and update patients’ Next Gen and EHR charts.
- Collect and distribute all incoming faxes, mail, and deliveries.
- Maintain a neat waiting room and ensure phones remain on service.
- Inform service of on‑call status and lock all doors as required.
- Capable of working independently.
- Willingness to travel between offices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a variety of patients and staff.
- Ability to assist the department during high‑pressure situations.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Flexible with work hours and schedule changes.
The schedule may vary daily based on the office or physician being covered. The role requires weekly travel to the designated locations.
