Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Location: Washington Square Area – New York, NY
Pay Range: $38.00 – $47.00 / hour
Duration: 3–6 Months Per Diem (Contract)
Start Date: Immediate (Upon medical clearance)
- Clinical Preventative Care: Perform thorough dental cleanings (prophylaxis), root planing, and scaling.
- Patient Assessment: Conduct initial clinical screenings, including reviewing medical histories, performing intra-oral/extra-oral exams, and taking vital signs.
- Radiography: Capture high-quality diagnostic X-rays (digital and panoramic) as required for treatment planning.
- Surgical & Sedation Support: Leverage your background in Oral Surgery and IV Sedation environments to monitor patient recovery post-procedure and provide specialized hygiene care for surgical patients.

Education:
Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care, particularly for those recovering from oral surgery or periodontal procedures. - Documentation: Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with institutional and HIPAA standards.
- Infection Control: Ensure all clinical areas and instruments meet rigorous sterilization and OSHA safety protocols.
- Licensure: Current New York State license to practice Dental Hygiene (RDH).
- Certification: Active CPR/BLS certification (required).
- Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience preferred. Background in Oral Surgery or working with IV Sedation patients is a significant plus.
- Professionalism: Ability to work effectively within an academic setting with students, faculty, and a diverse patient base.
- Clearance: Must be able to pass mandated medical clearance and background checks.
