We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Director of the AEGD program. In this role, the successful candidate will be a full‑time administrator whose primary responsibilities include managing a cohort of residents, faculty, and clinical training sites and ensuring compliance with program requirements and Commission on Dental Accreditation CODA standards.
Job Responsibilities- Travel:
Routine travel to assigned clinical training sites for on‑site meetings and reviews; periodic travel to conferences, program‑related meetings, and recruitment events. - Accountability:
Accountable to the AEGD Program Director, Director – Graduate Dental Education, and Senior Associate Program Director for management of roles and responsibilities, and for ensuring residents, faculty, and sites comply with Graduate Medical Education (GME) and AEGD policies. - Accreditation:
Management of mock site visits and CODA site visits at assigned clinical training sites. - Communication:
Serve as the direct point of contact for residents, faculty, and sites, managing communication via phone, text, email, and online platforms; conduct and manage formal, informal, and routine meetings. - Program Processes Management:
Oversee all program‑related documents and reporting platforms—including resident employment, attendance, faculty onboarding, licensure, requirements, outcomes, certification, and GME and program policies; monitor evaluations and data reporting; orient new residents and faculty. - Quality Assurance:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects related to program curriculum, processes, and outcomes. - Recruitment:
Actively participate in new resident and new clinical training site recruitment activities.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) licensed or license‑eligible in the U.S. and active.
- Minimum of five years of dental practice experience.
- Graduate of an accredited DDS or DMD school.
- Completion of an accredited AEGD or GPR residency program in the Boston area.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state law on salary transparency in job advertisements. The salary range for the role is $87,750.00 - $ annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
