Veterinary Dentist​/Oral Surgeon

Upstate Veterinary Specialties (UVS) is seeking a board‑certified or residency‑trained Veterinary Dentist/Oral Surgeon to develop a dentistry and oral surgery service within our specialty hospital.

As the first on‑site veterinary dentist in the Capital Region, you will design and grow a state‑of‑the‑art dentistry program, select equipment, shape workflow, and collaborate with hospital leadership and specialty teams. You will contribute to the development of facility layout and customized dental services supported by advanced diagnostics and a strong regional referral network.

• Provide veterinary dental care and oral surgery services, including diagnostic and surgical procedures.
• Develop and manage the dentistry program, including equipment selection, facility design, workflow, and staffing.
• Collaborate with emergency and specialty clinicians to integrate dental services into the hospital system.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and client service.
• Support the hospital’s critical care, anesthesia, and imaging resources as needed.

• Board certification in Veterinary Dentistry (DAVDC) or completion of an accredited dentistry residency program.
• Residency‑trained veterinarians encouraged to apply.
