Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Description

A boutique dental office looking for a friendly and skilled Hygienist to be part of our team to start Friday and Saturdays. We stress the importance of patient care because patients are the reason we are here. I would prefer a Chinese speaking candidate due to our patient pool.

Essential duties include:

• Performs prophylaxis, SRP, local anesthesia, impressions, whitening, etc.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene and has a plaque control program.
• Screens for oral cancer.
• Assists in and encourages patients to attend follow-up visits.
• Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Takes dental x-rays on patients.
• Documents dental care services by charting in patient records and clear clinical notes.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
