Dental Assistant Opportunity at North Brooklyn Dental Care

North Brooklyn Dental Care, a high-production, patient-focused practice, is seeking a skilled and motivated dental assistant to join our dynamic team. Position details:

  • Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Friday 9:30 AM- 5:30 PM). No weekends.
  • Hourly Rate: Starting at $23-$24 per hour, based on experience
  • Work Location: In-person Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY

Requirements

While our ideal candidate should have:

  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Provide 4-handed chair side assistance to multiple providers across general, perio, and oral surgery
  • Review the daily schedule proactively
  • Digital X-ray experience
  • Itero Scanner
  • Break down, sterilize, and restock instruments per OSHA infection control protocols
  • Seat patients, review treatment plans, and deliver post-op care education
  • Assist with hygiene as needed and support smooth, efficient office flow
  • Possess outstanding time management, and communication, and enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, technical skills, and equipment.
  • Excellent computer skills
What we're looking for
  • 2-3 years of dental assisting experience in a general dentistry setting
  • 4-handed chair side assisting in a high-production environment
  • Digital X-ray experience (X-ray certification a plus)
  • Itero scanner experience
  • Open Dental preferred;
    Dentrix or similar EHR knowledge accepted
  • Strong knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control standards
