DENTIST - Harlem

Summary

The Staff Dentist will provide comprehensive dental services to patients and assist the Dental Director when needed in specified areas as indicated. This is a 0.4 FTE position in Harlem Dental.

• Provide direct and comprehensive dental care including oral examinations, treatment planning, diagnosis, x‑ray interpretation, operative/restorative procedures, removable and fixed prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics (root canal therapy), periodontics, and preventive education.
• Assist the Dental Director with dental staff recruitment, selection, orientation, ensuring that all staff have current job descriptions, understand their responsibilities, and receive performance appraisals.
• Assist the Dental Director in maintaining and compiling records and reports, such as Federal 330 grant data, Health Care Plans, and Quality Improvement metrics.

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from an accredited dental school.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a general dentist (preferred).
• Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, supervisory, clinical, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated interest in employment at a community health center.
• Bi‑lingual Spanish preferred.
• Experience with dental electronic medical records preferred.
• New York State Dental License.
