, a school‑based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Dental Assistant in Bronx, NY and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their schools.

Our innovative in‑school dental program offers a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, making it perfect for people looking for a diverse environment, working parents, or anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

• Dental Assistant Certification (preferred, but not required)
• CPR certification card
• Working experience as a Dental Assistant
• Working experience with Digital X‑ray's
• Experience with patient charting (paper forms, charting tooth surfaces)
• Valid , and a willingness to travel to schools within the boroughs
• Works well with children
• Team player and able to work on a small team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Dental assisting services during mobile dental clinics
• Digital X‑ray imaging
• Patient records charting
• Equipment set‑up, breakdown, and sterilization assistance
• Travel daily to and from school sites

• Evenings, weekends, and summers off
• School‑day schedule (about 6–7 hours; on average between 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
• Benefit package (health, dental, vision)

• $22 – $25 an hour
• State‑of‑the‑art portable dental equipment
• Latest technology & digital radiography

Smile New York Outreach, through our affiliated dentists and other dental professionals, visits kids throughout New York City and Westchester County in the familiar surroundings of their schools, bringing much‑needed dental care to kids who may not otherwise have access.

Knowing that many parents cannot take their children to the dentist due to issues including time off from work and transportation challenges, we bring the care to the need.

Using the latest technology in portable equipment, a team of dedicated dental professionals provides preventive and restorative dental care to children right  flexibility and expertise allow us to transform classrooms, auditoriums, gyms or other suitable areas into fully functional dental offices for the day.
