Certified Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery
Pay: $28-32/hr | Duration: 3-6 months + |
Location:
NY, NY 10010 | Start:
As soon as possible once medically cleared.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm) – 35 hours per week.
Provide oral surgical assistance to dental residents and students. Assist in the administration of IV sedation and patient monitoring during surgical procedures. Perform tests; assist with preparing dental castings, dispensing medications and instructions, and performing minor dental and surgical procedures; ensure safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals or hazardous materials.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities- 2+ years of related experience.
- Graduate of a Dental Assistant Training Program.
- Knowledge of four-handed chairside dental techniques and dental lab equipment.
- 1-2 years of related experience including oral surgery experience with IV sedation/general anesthesia.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Preferred:
Certification as a Dental Assistant.
