Location: New York
Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Bella Vista Community Health Center, Bronx, NY
Position Summary:
Joining our Dental Department, the Dental Hygienist will support quality dental services by cleaning teeth, examining oral areas, and providing patient education. The Hygienist will also take and develop x‑rays, apply fluoride and sealants, and monitor for signs of oral disease.
- NYS Registered Dental Hygienist
- Familiarity with dental terminology and general principles of dentistry
- Computer proficiency
- Local Anesthesia certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
Work Hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Compensation: $84,000–$94,000 per year, based on experience.
- Examine gums using probes to locate periodontal recessions and signs of gum disease
- Clean calcareous deposits, accumulations, and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins
- Apply fluorides, sealants, or other cavity‑preventing agents to arrest decay
- Provide clinical services or health education to improve and maintain oral health
- Review patient medical history and look for indications of oral cancer
