Our client, a leading community healthcare organization dedicated to serving underserved populations, is hiring a General Dentist. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused setting while working with a supportive team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive general dentistry including examinations, diagnostics, preventive care, restorations, extractions, root canals, and other essential procedures.
- Manage a diverse patient population across all ages with a focus on delivering quality clinical services efficiently.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical procedures and patient records.
- Uphold infection control and safety standards in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage in patient education to promote oral health and preventive practices.
- Support community outreach and educational activities as appropriate.
Requirements:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Valid license to practice dentistry in New York State, with licensure secured prior to start date.
- Demonstrated proficiency in general dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, and root canals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care in an underserved community setting.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply provided licensure requirements are met within the credentialing timeline ( 3-4 weeks).
- Prior experience in community or public health dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual proficiency, particularly Spanish.
- Additional certifications in advanced procedures or specialties.
- Prior experience working in community health or public health settings.
