We are seeking a Pediatric Dental Associate with a great personality who does great dental work to join our team!
Who we are:
Upscale pediatric dental practice that has grown to become the premier dental home for children in the Western Essex County, NJ (location details to be shared during phone screening).
The primary doctor / owner is an award winning, board- certified pediatric dentist and has built a strong and cohesive team.
What you'll do:
In this position, you will be responsible for the diagnosis and comprehensive care for children. Treatment includes but is not limited to composites, root canals, extractions, space maintainers, primary tooth crowns, and the use of nitrous oxide.
You will perform procedures to diagnose and treat cavities, cracked or fractured teeth, and oral diseases. You will also administer medications and anesthetics for tooth extractions, root canals, and other surgical procedures.
We are looking for the right fit for a long term associate. We would like to start as soon as possible.
Compensation Package:

Pediatric Dentist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and parents on good oral hygiene habits
- Interpret radiographs
- Examinations for hygienists
- Create detailed treatment plans for patients
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide
- Prescribe antibiotics and pain-relieving medications
- Place restorations
- Place space maintainers
- Extractions
- Provide patient care for cracked or fractured teeth
- Perform procedures to treat decay and cavities
- Prepare and place fillings
- Examine patients for dental and jaw diagnoses
- Interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests
- Perform tooth extractions and root canals
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases
- Create detailed treatment plans for patients
- Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissues Educate patients on aftercare and answer questions
Pediatric Dentist Requirements and Qualifications:
- D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a school accredited by Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and American Dental Association.
- Certification in BLS.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication.
- Compassionate and caring of patients.
- Complies with all office, local, state, and American Dental Association regulations, protocols, and procedures.
- Active NJ state board of dentistry license
- Pediatric specialty permit
