Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Dental Insurance Coordinator / Front Desk Receptionist with 2–3 years of dental office experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, patient-focused, and comfortable managing insurance verification, patient scheduling, and front desk operations in a fast-paced dental practice.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance & Financial Coordination

  • Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments
  • Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims
  • Review EOBs and resolve claim denials or outstanding balances
  • Obtain pre-authorizations when required
  • Explain treatment estimates, insurance coverage, and patient financial responsibility
  • Maintain accurate insurance information and patient records

Front Desk & Patient Experience

  • Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures
  • Collect copayments, balances, and payments
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Administrative Duties

  • Manage daily schedules and appointment flow
  • Follow up with unscheduled treatment and recall patients
  • Update patient records and documentation
  • Assist with reports and administrative projects as needed
  • Coordinate with clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of dental office experience required
  • Experience with dental insurance verification and claims processing
  • Knowledge of PPO insurance plans and treatment plan presentation
  • Strong phone and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or similar)
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
