Dental Front Office Assistant Overview
- The Dental Front Office Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences.
- Serve as the first point of contact, welcoming patients and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Coordinate patient appointments, treatment plans, and financial discussions to streamline clinic workflow.
- Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and office managers to maintain efficient operations.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, scanning, and administrative tasks to support clinic needs.
- Provide compassionate care and clear communication to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Contribute to a supportive and growth-oriented work environment within the clinic.
- Uphold professionalism and punctuality to maintain the clinic's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Welcome patients and manage check-in/check-out processes with professionalism and warmth.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments to optimize clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Explain treatment plans and financial options clearly to patients.
- Handle insurance inquiries and payment processing accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records and perform general administrative duties.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless operations and patient care.
- Support the office manager in implementing clinic policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns promptly.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required; additional certifications in dental administration are advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental or medical office setting.
- Preferred 4 years of experience in dental office administration or coordination.
- Proficiency in managing patient records and scheduling systems.
- Strong communication skills to explain treatment plans and financial options effectively.
- Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and punctuality to uphold clinic standards.
- Availability to work Saturdays as part of the clinic's schedule.
