Tend is seeking a Traveling Associate Dentist to deliver exceptional care across our modern, design-forward studios. In this role, you'll provide preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry with a strong focus on patient comfort and transparent communication. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage innovative technology and reimagined workflows, ensuring a seamless, hospitality-driven experience. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general dental care, including exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning across multiple Tend locations.
- Perform restorative, preventive, and basic cosmetic dental procedures in accordance with evidence-based standards of care.
- Ensure a patient-first approach by communicating treatment options, procedures, risks, benefits, and financial implications clearly and compassionately.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and documentation in electronic health record systems.
- Collaborate closely with hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to deliver coordinated, efficient care.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols, OSHA standards, HIPAA requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Utilize digital and tech-driven tools (e.g., digital radiography, intraoral scanners) to enhance diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education.
- Adapt quickly to different practice environments while upholding a consistent standard of Tend's clinical and service excellence.
- Participate in continuing education, mentorship, and internal training to stay current on dental techniques, materials, and best practices.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture focused on innovation, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient satisfaction.
Required Skills
- General dentistry (diagnosis and treatment planning)
- Restorative procedures (fillings, crowns, simple extractions)
- Preventive dentistry and periodontal management
- Basic cosmetic dentistry (e.g., whitening, veneers consultation)
- Use of digital radiography and imaging systems
- Use of intraoral scanners and other digital dental technologies
- Local anesthesia administration and pain management
- Infection control and sterilization protocols
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Patient communication and education
- Case presentation and treatment acceptance
- Time management across multiple practice locations
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with dental teams
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and regulatory compliance
- Evidence-based clinical decision-making
