You will serve as a FUL - Park Ranger (Preventative Search and Rescue). This position applies thorough knowledge of preventative search and rescue concepts, principles, and practices to analyze, evaluate, and coordinate matters involving preventative search and rescue.
Major DutiesSome of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinates the day-to-day operations of a preventative search and rescue operations (e.g., patrols, education, technical search and rescue, etc.). Compiles and analyzes data on PSAR program operations. Serves as a team member on large and/or highly complex search and rescue incidents. Coordinates the design, preparation, and distribution of printed and/or electronic PSAR materials and/or signs. Develops and delivers search and rescue, emergency medical services, and/or PSAR-related trainings and lectures.
Develops and delivers PSAR outreach presentations and talks. Provides emergency medical services (EMS), under medical oversight. Distributes maps, brochures, and other printed material, inform visitors of potential safety hazards. Performs traffic/crowd control at park entrance stations, parking lots, and/or related locations.
