Lead Patient Service Representative

• Rotate through clinics daily or weekly to provide staffing resources to understaffed areas
• Monitor daily clinic operations according to NYUCD Standard Operating Procedures
• Prioritize clinic activities and delegate work to student and casual employees
• Act as work leader to junior clerical support staff
• Provide customer service support to dental clinic patients
• Greet and route patients
• Maintain data integrity in Dentrix
• Perform cashier duties
• Maintain student and patient appointment books
• Reconcile encounter forms
• Triage emergencies
• Arrange substitute patients as cancellations occur
• Schedule follow-up exams
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and suggest enhancements and improvements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of office experience in a dental clinic or related healthcare facility
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize own work and coordinate work of others in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
• Moderate, accurate keyboarding
