Experienced Dental Hygienist at Specialty Periodontics & Implant Practice

Join a respected, modern dental implants and periodontics practice in the Bronx as a part-time Dental Hygienist. Provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care, support implant and perio treatment workflows, and deliver excellent patient education in a team-focused environment. Position is 2 days per week (flexible within weekday hours; no Fridays or weekends).

• $57 - $60 per hour
• Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Monday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM;
Tuesday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM;
Wednesday 9:00 AM-7:00 PM;
Thursday 9:00 AM-3:00 PM

• License & Certification:
  Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Basic life support
• Registered Dental Hygienist licensed in New York State (RDH)
• Valid New York State local anesthesia certification
• Current CPR certification
• Demonstrated clinical competence in periodontal hygiene (scaling/root planing)
• Professional communication skills and ability to work in a specialty team setting
• Availability for two weekday shifts per week (no Fridays or weekends)
• X-ray / Radiography Certification
• Nitrous Oxide Certification
• Expanded Functions Dental Hygienist
• Advanced Dental Hygiene Practitioner Certification
• Infection Control License
• Driver's license

• Bilingual in Spanish
• Experience with Dentrix practice management software
• Experience in a periodontal/implant specialty office
• Prior exposure to digital imaging systems (Dexis or equivalent)

• Perform dental hygiene procedures: prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance
• Administer local anesthesia when indicated (NY local anesthesia license required)
• Take and evaluate digital radiographs and intraoral images (Dexis/Digital X-ray)
• Conduct periodontal charting, assess oral/systemic health links, and update patient records
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, periodontal care, and post-op instructions
• Verify and document medical histories and communicate findings to the clinical team
• Follow infection control and OSHA/HIPAA protocols
• Support efficient patient flow and collaborate with periodontists and staff on treatment planning
