Pattern Maker role at Alexandra Grecco
. Alexandra Grecco Bridal is looking for a pattern maker to support our development team in our NYC studio by drafting patterns for new garments as well as revising and correcting patterns as pieces move toward production.

• Take a design from a sketch on page to a pattern with accurate technical details, leveraging an expertise of the draping process;
• Attend live fittings in order to support development revisions and adjust patterns as needed;
• Modify patterns for made-to-measure orders;
• Creating mid-development mock-ups, as needed;
• Providing technical, pattern-specific support to the broader development team, working collaboratively with others;
• Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the brand’s pattern library;

• A strong understanding of patterns, pattern modifications, and fit notes,;
• Associate degree in pattern making, technical design or equivalent professional experience;
• 3-5 years of bridal, couture, or womenswear technical design or pattern making experience;
• Deep experience with the fabrics utilized in bridal or couture, including how such fabrics and grain lines affect construction;
• Experience with Gerber;

The designer’s sensibilities cater to the less traditional bride who wants to feel like their most authentic self on their wedding day.
