We want you to be Atelier Ten New York’s newest full-time Design Staff. In this role you will work within your project team to analyze design options and make recommendations on day lighting, energy systems, water use, thermal comfort, occupant health, sustainable materials, and more. You’ll also work on LEED program administration, including analyzing feasibility of specific credits and managing the overall documentation process.
Whatyour day-to-day looks like
Days at Atelier Ten are filled with a variety of project types from offices and labs to large masterplans. We aim to keep you challenged and engaged. Regular tasks may include:
- Author project deliverables, including reports, memos, and technical documentation
- Create clear and visually engaging graphic illustrations that communicate technical concepts
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, architects, and other design-team members
- Collaborate with technical analysis teams to integrate sustainability strategies into project designs
- Contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects within the built environment, including institutional, commercial, and residential buildings, as well as large-scale masterplans
- Work closely with integrated design groups to support services such as environmental design consulting, daylight and façade analysis, and benchmarking
We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a field related to environmental building design, architecture, architectural engineering, and/or building science
- 0-4 years of professional experience
- Adeptness in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign), and Rhino
- Experience with software such as R, Grasshopper, Radiance, Revit, eQuest, Energy Plus, IES, D3, or data visualization is desirable
- Strong ability in computer and hand drafting as well as sketching
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; excellent verbal, inter-personal, and writing skills
- Experience with LEED Green Associate, AP, or sustainable design is a plus

Atelier Ten US seeks to compensate staff based on factors related to the role, responsibilities, location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
