A strategic, visionary Principal Architectural Designer who blends design excellence with operational execution. You combine creative leadership, technical expertise, and strong partnership instincts to guide complex, global workplace projects. You thrive in cross‑functional environments, champion innovation, and can articulate a compelling design narrative to diverse audiences.
What You’ll Work OnAs Principal West, you will lead design operations across EMEA and support North America initiatives. Reporting to the Global Design Director, you’ll develop location‑specific strategies and drive design execution with global vendor teams across architecture, engineering, and brand.
You Will Design Leadership & DeliveryLead all phases of architectural design and construction: programming, concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
Manage production of design deliverables including architectural drawings, brand packaging, mock‑ups, technical documentation, and FFE specifications.
Own finish specifications, code alignment, and technical detailing throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure project schedules and budgets remain aligned to business outcomes.
Vendor & Partner ManagementManage external creative partners — including architects, engineers, and brand agencies — to deliver clear, innovative design vision.
Identify, develop, and manage strategic vendor relationships from discovery to activation.
Organize and lead site visits, stakeholder interviews, and building assessments.
Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner closely with GPS teammates spanning Real Estate, Operations, Program Management, Food Services, Security, Technology, and Sport.
Provide clear communication to internal stakeholders and leadership to ensure designs meet business goals, functional requirements, and brand standards.
Liaise regularly with regional offices and executive partners to advance program strategy and business development.

- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design OR a combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
- This position requires a portfolio with safe, non‑confidential examples of past architectural work that reflect your design approach and technical capability.
- 10+ years of professional experience leading architectural and commercial interior design projects for large, complex organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in workplace strategy, environmental branding, or facilities design.
- High proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, Bluebeam, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with 3DS Max, Rhino, Grasshopper, or Enscape is a plus.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills — able to articulate a design vision and influence diverse audiences.
- Experience developing and nurturing vendor partnerships and cross‑functional teams.
- Advanced understanding of architectural systems, code requirements, building systems (structural, MEP, fire/life safety), and design standards.
- Demonstrated experience delivering sustainable, resilient building solutions (WELL, LEED, Fitwel, carbon‑neutral, or net‑zero projects).
- Passion for mentoring teammates and leading by example in a creative environment.
