A highly respected architecture practice in New York is seeking a Senior Architect to strengthen its design leadership team.
This is not a production hire. This is a strategic Senior Architect position focused on design excellence, client presentation, and long-term leadership succession.
If you are a Registered Architect in New York with serious design credentials and experience leading institutional, civic, healthcare, transportation, justice, or higher education projects, this could be the defining move of your career.
Package- Salary from $130,000+ depending on experience

This Senior Architect role is design-led. The firm is seeking a Senior Architect who can:
- Lead design for complex institutional and public-sector projects
- Present confidently to clients, boards, and stakeholders
- Help win work through compelling design presentations
- Guide internal design teams and elevate design culture
- Work closely with senior leadership on succession planning
This Senior Architect position is not focused on construction document production or project management-heavy delivery. It is a pure design leadership opportunity.
Ideal project experience includes:
- Public realm architecture
- Institutional projects
- Justice facilities
- Transportation facilities
- Science and lab buildings
Limited residential exposure is acceptable, but high-rise multifamily or developer-led residential towers are not aligned with this Senior Architect search.
Requirements- Registered Architect (RA) – non-negotiable
- 10–20+ years of architecture experience
- Proven design leadership on complex projects

- Institutional or civic portfolio
- Ability to inspire teams and lead design direction
