Location: New York

The Manager, Graphic Design & Packaging leads the vision and visual execution of our account and brand strategy across packaging, print, and when required digital assets, while shaping and presenting creative vision around key market moments. This role connects brand strategy, product development, sales, and production, ensuring design solutions are timely, relevant, and commercially effective.

On a case-by-case basis, this role proactively participates in customer meetings, presenting creative direction tied to overall strategy, specific market moments, packaging and customer opportunities in terms of white space.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Vision & Market Moments

Define and execute creative direction for key market moments, including but not limited to:

  • Seasonal launches (Spring/Summer, Fall/Winter)
  • Holiday moments (Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Holiday gifting, Lunar New Year)
  • Retail moments (Back-to-School, Graduation, Prom, Black Friday/Cyber Week)
  • Trend-driven capsules (color stories, materials, silhouettes)
  • Customer exclusives & collaborations
  • New product introductions
  • Brand refreshes or packaging evolutions
  • Sales-driven moments (key account presentations, line reviews, assortment resets)

  • Ensuring packaging and design supports the commercial goal of each moment
  • Aligning creative execution with marketing calendars and sales priorities
  • Maintaining brand consistency while adapting to moment-specific needs
Graphic Design & Brand Execution
  • Lead design across packaging, POS, marketing collateral, sales tools, and digital assets
  • Ensure consistent brand expression across all materials
  • Personally design high-impact assets when required
Packaging Development
  • Own packaging design from concept through production
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure designs are cost-effective and manufacturable
  • Manage dielines, proofs, and production files
  • Maintain packaging standards and archives
Customer Meetings & Creative Presentation
  • Participate in select customer meetings tied to market moments
  • Present creative concepts, packaging options, and storytelling
  • Explain design rationale, materials, finishes, and production considerations
  • Adapt concepts to customer needs while protecting brand integrity
  • Partner with sales to tailor presentations on a case-by-case basis
  • Support, partner with and manage cross functional partners as needed
  • Prioritize creative resources across multiple market moments
  • Review and approve work before internal or external execution or presentation

    Establish efficient creative workflows
  • Always look for efficiencies where possible with an open mindset
  • Make sure investment of time and resources is always in line with ROI
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations
  • Align creative execution with timelines and business objectives
  • Balance creativity with speed, cost, and production realities
  • Manage packaging and print vendors
  • Review quotes, proofs, and samples
  • Ensure accuracy prior to production release
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • 6–10 years of graphic design experience with strong packaging expertise
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience in private label fashion jewelry space
  • Experience presenting creative tied to launches, trends, or retail moments
  • Expert in all relevant creative technologies inclusive of AI usage.
  • Strategic creative thinker with commercial intuition
  • Confident presenter and storyteller
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Collaborative and adaptable
Preferred
  • Experience in consumer products, fashion, beauty, or jewelry
  • Comfort in customer-facing and sales-support roles
