Design & Architecture
Our client, a 10-person architecture and design firm based in New York City is seeking an architect with approximately 8+ years of professional experience who is comfortable taking ownership of key project responsibilities and contributing meaningfully to a small‑team environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Studio Leadership
- Provide strategic direction, long‑range planning, and new business growth.
- Ensure profitability and align practice goals with firm‑wide objectives.
Project & Design Leadership
- Lead major projects from concept through completion.
- Review construction documents and resolve complex design challenges.
Client Engagement
- Serve as primary contact for key clients and lead account growth and retention.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Lead RFQ/RFP strategies and proposal development.
- Participate in revenue sharing for new business.
Operations & Contract Oversight
- Oversee staffing, resources, and project profitability.
- Review contracts and enforce compliance.
- Serve as a leader in the company profit‑sharing program.
Staff Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor designers, lead recruitment, and foster studio culture.
- Licensed Architect or Interior Designer with 10–15+ years of experience.
- Strong business development capability, design leadership and technical expertise.
- Interest in long‑term equity ownership.
The compensation for this position ranges from $ - $. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
