OverviewAs a Senior Merchandiser at EnVogue, you will own the merchandising strategy for assigned home textile categories while bringing a strong foundation in textile design to every stage of product development. This role combines commercial leadership with hands‑on design sensibility, overseeing assortment planning, pricing, margin, and product lifecycle decisions while guiding textile aesthetics, materials, and construction. You will be accountable for building trend‑driven, profitable collections that balance design integrity, quality, and consumer demand across categories such as decorative pillows, bedding, and kitchen linens.
Responsibilities- Own merchandising strategy for assigned home textile categories, including assortment planning, line architecture, and seasonal flow.
- Develop original textile designs with accountability for commercial performance, pricing, and margin targets across multiple home categories.
- Build and manage seasonal assortments, defining SKU count, colorways, materials, and depth by category and customer.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive assortments to drive design direction, line edits, and product lifecycle decisions.
- Establish pricing frameworks and margin targets in partnership with Finance and Sourcing, balancing design intent with cost structure.
- Lead line planning and product segmentation across opening price points, core programs, and premium tiers.
- Manage inventory strategy, including carryover programs, replenishment, and SKU rationalization to optimize sell‑through and profitability.
- Create detailed technical specifications covering materials, construction, finishes, and assembly.
- Partner with Product Development, Sourcing, Production, and vendors to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, cost‑effective, and delivered on time.
- Own end‑to‑end product lifecycle management from concept and launch through in‑season performance and end‑of‑life decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in merchandising, product development, or textile design, preferably within home décor, accessories, furniture, or fashion.
- Strong knowledge of textile construction, materials, manufacturing processes, and cost drivers.
- Demonstrated expertise in color theory, print and pattern design, and material selection.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with CAD software and technical drawings.
- Ability to translate trend research and sales data into commercially viable assortments and product strategies.
- Experience managing products from concept through launch, including pricing, margin, and lifecycle decisions.
- Portfolio required showcasing textile designs (prints, weaves, constructions) with clear commercial application.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year
