Arquitectonica is an award-winning, design-focused architecture and planning firm with a worldwide practice of 500+ employees located in eleven offices. Our New York office is seeking a Senior Project Architect with 10+ years’ experience to join our team. Projects include Luxury Residential, Hospitality, Office and Mixed Use/Retail. As a Senior Project Architect at Arquitectonica, you will function as a core member of the project team and be responsible for developing and coordinating the production of quality contract documents.
This position requires an advanced understanding of architectural design, technical detailing, building systems, and current construction practices.
- Lead the production of high-quality drawings, Revit models, and specifications that can easily be interpreted by consultants and government agencies and efficiently utilized by contractors in the field
- Communicate professionally, thoroughly, and articulately with the project team, project manager, consultants
- Evaluate plans and specifications prepared by the design team and external consultants (engineers and other design professionals), identifying conflicts, gaps, and opportunities to improve clarity and constructability
- Ability to manage consultant work to meet deadlines, including leading regular consultant coordination meetings
- Participate in internal and external project meetings and understand project scope, milestones, and risk areas in order to establish appropriate workplans for on-time completion of project deadlines
- Oversee and provide quality control for:
- Adherence to firm and industry standards
- Constructability and integration with typical means and methods
- Code, life safety, accessibility, and agency compliance
- Sustainability goals and project-specific performance requirements
- Revit and BIM
360 models
- Licensed architect with 10 years minimum post‑grad experience in architecture
- Experience as a Project Architect on several completed projects, from conception through completion. Multi‑family experience is required.
- Experience with full‑service construction documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Confident communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail on all project related tasks
- QA/QC experience
- Ability to travel as required

Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and abilities. This is a full‑time role based in our New York office.
