Position: Interior Designer (3 - 5+ YOE) - AD100 Single-Family Residential
Location: New York

A prestigious AD100 Manhattan-based interior design studio, known for its exceptional high-end residential and landscape projects, is seeking talented Interior Designer.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 - 5+ years of professional experience in private residential interior design
  • Previous experience at AD100 firms strongly preferred
  • Extensive client-facing experience with the ability to lead and manage high-end projects
  • Strong network knowledge of vendors and resources for luxury interiors
  • Skilled in managing projects from concept through completion, including FF&E sourcing and purchasing, space planning, construction documentation, and on-site coordination
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office
  • Confident in hand sketching and early-phase visualization
  • Strong interior space planning and detailing skills, with experience developing schematic plans
  • Deep understanding of all stages of the FF&E process (design, procurement, tracking, and install)
  • Financial oversight capabilities including sales tax, client payments, and vendor disbursements
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Design Manager software is a plus
  • Hand rendering skills are a plus
Responsibilities
  • Lead high-end residential interior design projects, guiding clients from design concept to final installation
  • Develop initial design concepts, space plans, and presentation materials
  • Manage procurement of furniture and finishes, oversee tracking, and coordinate installations
  • Create and maintain clear, detailed construction documents and FF&E schedules
  • Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and contractors throughout all project phases
  • Oversee junior designers and interns, delegating and reviewing tasks across multiple ongoing projects
  • Conduct monthly financial reconciliations and assist with budgeting and vendor payments
  • Ensure all design deliverables meet both creative and technical standards
