Responsibilities- Develop competitive fee structures and manage project schedules.
- Oversee project completion on time and within fee budget, anticipate and manage client expectations.
- Provide leadership, identify team roles, leverage strengths, offer mentorship, and motivate the project team.
- Lead open dialogue on design and technical ideation, encourage innovation, and facilitate appropriate solutions.
- Oversee material, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment selection and construction phase procedures, documentation and quality assurance processes.
- Drive coordination of internal staff, external consultants and other stakeholders to achieve a cohesive, collaborative project team.
- Attend and conduct presentations, explore new business opportunities, and pursue innovation in design solutions.
- Develop effective project directives, outlines, schedules and strategies over the course of the project, including phasing and communication.
- Manage all facets of project production, identify solutions, resolve technical challenges, and apply industry standards and construction practices.
- This role is an in‑office position.
- Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent.
- 12+ years of commercial design experience; workplace experience preferred.
- Professional registration and strong design portfolio showing conceptual design, space planning, and detailing.
- Demonstrated skills in coordinating design teams, high commitment to QA/QC, Revit proficiency, and technical excellence.
- Thorough understanding of drawing set construction, constructability, code research and application.
- Experience managing consultants and contractors, interest in sustainable design, and effective organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, flexible attitude, and proficiency in managing overall project fees and schedules.
- Proven record of business development, marketing, client satisfaction, and confident presentation ability.

Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000 annually – New York City locations only
