The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of interior design projects, with a focus on managing furniture billing, purchasing, and ensuring accurate weekly reconciliation of Interiors spending within the studio. This role supports studio leadership by keeping the Interiors Accounts team organized, efficient, and running smoothly. The ideal candidate is a detail‑driven, proactive problem‑solver who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, brings strong financial acumen, and approaches every task with precision, accountability, and a collaborative mindset
What you'll do- Process all accounts payable and receivable for Workshop/APD Interiors LLC.
- Track client, consultant, and internal office expenses.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor billing and accounting inquiries.
- Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of all product expenditures for monthly invoicing.
- Prepare Proposal Packages in Studio Designer for client issuance under designer direction.
- Review designer quotes and verify alignment with project details.
- Create complete purchase order packages for Designers and Project Managers upon client approval and payment.
- Maintain ongoing communication with purchasing agents to reconcile and tag charges weekly
- 2–4 years of bookkeeping or business management experience in a small to mid‑size firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Accounting, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong financial management and analytical skills.
- Highly efficient, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to oversee and support long‑term projects with consistency, accuracy and reliability
