Position Summary

We are seeking a Regional Director of Interior Design for our Northeast Healthcare team. This role is accountable for leading the interiors teams within our Northeast offices, collaborating with clients to understand their needs, and delivering high quality projects. This position requires excellent communication, strong leadership, and expertise in a client-facing role. The ideal candidate is a licensed interior designer and/or NCIDQ – certified professional with demonstrated experience leading the interior design process for complex and challenging healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the interior design team across the Northeast region, including resource allocation, staffing, budgeting, and expense tracking.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for interior designers and project team members.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their goals, project requirements, and desired outcomes.
  • Support client engagement efforts at the regional level by equipping teams with knowledge, tools, and strategies to meet evolving client needs.
  • Strengthen the firm’s regional reputation by fostering strong professional networks and identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Foster and expand regional client and industry relationships while representing the firm and supporting new business opportunities.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including RFP response, project interviews, and client presentations.
  • Stay up to date on regional market trends and challenges, sharing insights with leadership and project teams.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Active state licensure and/or NCIDQ Certification with bachelor’s degree or higher in interior design or architecture.
  • At least 10 years of healthcare interior design experience with at least 5 years of management experience.
  • Innovative and strategic mindset, with demonstrated success in effectively managing clients and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and lead team members across the Northeast Region.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication.
  • Competency with digital tools including Revit (BIM), Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and 3D Visualization software.
Location
  • Hybrid position based out of our New York City office
  • Travel to clients and Northeast office locations is required, as needed.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $160,000
