We operate multiple elementary and middle schools in the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens. We plan to grow and open 1–2 schools each year because children in every community deserve excellent, equitable education.
Location:
401 W. 218th St., New York, NY 10034. The Network office follows a hybrid work schedule: in‑person Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional remote days Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays if the team's scope permits.
In‑House Project Manager, Design Development
Qualifications- Master's Degree (preferred in architecture, engineering, or project management)
- 3–5 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or project management
- Strong understanding of design and construction documents (Schematic Design, Design Development, Constructible Design)
- Ensure all Zeta buildings are built as beautiful, world‑class, and joyful spaces for learning in accordance with design philosophy and specifications
- Maintain and continuously improve Zeta's design guidelines and specification guides
- Support preparation of RFPs for new facilities projects
- Collaborate with architects to ensure resulting SD, DD, and CD are aligned with Zeta's guidelines, optimized for the school model
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specified standards of excellence and safety
- Serve as the internal expert on all design documents and specifications and maintain a real‑time log of all issues in an organized and scalable manner
- Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules; proactively manage and raise issues for off‑track items
- Support and execute scalable design and decoration of Zeta schools, in close coordination with building design consultants
- Wear multiple hats as part of a lean startup‑up team, supporting the work of others and taking on new projects and tasks as needed
Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000. New hires will be hired near the start of the range based on experience. Eligible for an annual discretionary, merit‑based performance bonus.
