Sogni di Cristallo

Sogni di Cristallo is hiring an architect/interior designer/project manager to join its team full-time in New York.

About us

Sogni di Cristallo (SDC) is a leading Italian brand specialising in the design, manufacture and craftsmanship of lighting and architectural glass.

With studios in Venice, London and New York, our mission is to preserve and innovate Venetian glassworking traditions and share them worldwide. We collaborate with architects, interior designers and private clients on bespoke, high‑end projects from luxury residences to commercial spaces, restaurants, hotels and private members’ clubs.

As SDC continues to grow, we launched our first US branch in New York in early 2025.

Here you can find our portfolio of selected projects.

The role

We are looking for an architect and project manager to join our growing NYC team and support the delivery of bespoke architectural lighting and glass projects across the US market.

This is a hybrid creative and technical role for someone who is equally comfortable managing complex projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the architectural and design development process.

You will work closely with our London and Italian teams, acting as a key point of coordination between clients, consultants, artisans, fabricators and installation teams throughout the full project lifecycle—from concept development and technical detailing through production and final installation.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, design‑sensitive, proactive and capable of balancing architectural thinking with hands‑on project execution in a fast‑paced international environment.

Key responsibilities
  • develop architectural and technical drawings, shop drawings and 3D models for bespoke lighting and glass installations
  • coordinate projects from concept design through production, delivery and installation
  • liaise directly with architects, interior designers, contractors, fabricators and clients throughout all project phases
  • manage project timelines, schedules, deliverables and coordination across multiple international teams
  • review technical requirements, site conditions and feasibility constraints to ensure successful execution
  • support prototype and mock‑up development in collaboration with Italian artisans and production teams
  • conduct site visits, surveys and coordination meetings as required
  • oversee drawing packages, revisions, approvals and production documentation
  • assist with budgeting, quotations, procurement coordination and project reporting
  • ensure projects are delivered to the highest design, technical and quality standards
  • occasionally support on‑site installations and client‑facing project coordination in the US
Requirements
  • degree or proven experience in architecture/interior design
  • three to five years of professional experience in architecture, interiors, lighting or bespoke fabrication projects
  • experience with construction sites or custom manufacturing projects is a plus
  • fluency in English;
    Italian is a strong advantage
  • proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhino (2D/3D)
  • good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • basic Excel skills (project trackers, schedules)
  • understanding of glass, metalwork or bespoke fabrication is a plus
  • highly organised, proactive and solution‑oriented, comfortable owning tasks and driving them forward
  • strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote, multi‑country team
  • must be based in New York; please do not apply if this is not the case
What we offer
  • Soho Works coworking membership in the US
  • competitive salary, based on experience
  • flexible working
  • opportunity to work on iconic luxury projects across the US, UK and Europe
  • exposure to high‑end bespoke manufacturing and Venetian artisan craftsmanship
  • dynamic international team across New York, London and Venice
