Product Design Manager - Dashboard Team

As a Product Design Manager on the Dashboard team, you will manage a multidisciplinary team of product designers and a researcher, leading design efforts across multiple product areas  will partner closely with product and engineering to shape direction and outcomes, coach individual contributors, drive high‑quality design execution, and collaborate with PM leads to develop product strategy. You will also own near‑term delivery and define the long‑term vision for how Plaid’s products evolve.

• Ship delightful and easy‑to‑use experiences for customers and partners.
• Tackle a variety of problems, from large redesigns to small wins, and navigate ambiguity.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and marketing across planning to execution.
• Produce high‑quality work that pushes the experience forward and raises the quality bar.
• Work directly with design, product, and engineering leaders to craft compelling narratives, strategies, and demos.
• Manage a team of designers at different stages of their careers and coach them to grow.
• Contribute to our design culture through collaboration and leadership.

• 8+ years of product design experience.
• 3+ years of product design management experience.
• A portfolio demonstrating outstanding visual design, interaction design, problem‑solving, and prototyping skills.
• Experience leading large‑scale redesigns or new products, working on ambiguous problems, and on complex B2B applications.
• Experience managing a team of product designers to deliver great work at scale.
• Outstanding communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills, able to bring people together and build a shared vision.
• Proactive, organized, curious, pragmatic, and able to prioritize work independently to maximize impact.

Additional compensation in the form of equity and/or commission depends on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with applicable compensation or benefit plans.

Compensation Range: $207.6K – $317.5K
