Position Title:
Architectural, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate), $21.00 (Graduate)
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENTFacilities Project Management satisfies space management needs for leased and MTA-owned buildings. Our responsibilities range from designing and managing the construction of private offices and conference rooms, to gut-renovations of facilities.
We are standardizing our AutoCAD drawings of existing properties, leased or MTA owned. Responsibilities of an intern would include scanning and filing existing drawings, create/manage AutoCAD drawings, on-site surveys and confirmation of dimensions, photo documentation and measuring of existing furniture. These responsibilities extend to learning about and working on furniture schedules, as well as various administrative tasks such updating Project Status Reports as required on past and present projects.

- Communicate and shadow team members
- Miscellaneous administrative work
The standardization of drawings allows restacking of existing MTA properties and continued work on right-sizing our existing and future leases.
- Create/manage AutoCAD drawings
- On-site surveys and confirmation of dimensions
- Photo documentation and measuring of existing furniture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
- Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
- Major(s) Preferred:
Architectural, Engineering, or related field.
