Location: New York
Our Year One program offers emerging designers an opportunity to dive into the profession, develop skills, and contribute to transformative projects.
Position Responsibilities- Contributes to the development of BIM model(s) and associated drawings with direction from the BIM Manager and Project Teams.
- Assists in coordinating Project BIM models, managing process objectives with other disciplines and consultants.
- Collates and critically evaluates ideas at the project team level with regard to BIM deliverables.
- Seeks creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks, developing research and documentation to support them.
- Provides narrowly focused and widely diverse support in production of Project BIM and project documentation processes.
- Communicates internally through timely written, oral, and visual means.
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of office standards, guidelines, best‑practice tool development, and software used by architects for BIM workflows.
- Uses tools to assist with project document control tasks, especially for BIM deliverables and archiving digital models, recording processes, and scripts.
- Manages time and workload to meet Project task deadlines, maintaining regular interaction and direction from Project or BIM leaders.
- Completion of a professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Exhibits initiative and problem‑solving skills with high precision at the task level.
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, in a timely manner.
- Works well within a team environment.
- General knowledge of architectural practice, including site planning, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical engineering, and construction.
- Demonstrated expertise in architectural design, documentation, detailing, building materials, construction techniques, building system selection, engineering principles, and building codes.
- Familiarity with sustainable strategies and LEED or other green‑building rating systems.
- Proficient in Revit, BIM
360, Dynamo, Navisworks, AutoCAD, energy modeling, and LCA tools. - Knowledge of scripting, programming, Grasshopper, Rhino, and their integration with BIM workflows.
- Ability to present technical concepts clearly and succinctly.
- Proficient with Rhino, parametric and rendering software, Adobe Suite, and Google Workspace.
