Intermediate Interior Designer

JSD is seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Interior Designer with a minimum 4-6 years of high‑end residential design experience to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will work with the Principal and Senior Designers to assist in the delivery of all phases of our projects from conceptual ideas through to installation. The chosen candidate will have incredibly strong project management skills, organizational foundations that pillar your work, and be extremely self‑motivated.

Applicants should also demonstrate a strong balance between design sensitivity and technical knowledge to support both our senior architectural designer and our senior FF&E designer.

• Lead the development of refined design presentations, space plans, and 2D/3D concept studies
• Oversee all vendor coordination and cultivate strong relationships with high‑end and specialty suppliers
• Produce comprehensive drawing sets, including floor plans, elevations, furniture plans, shop drawings, and finish schedules
• Prepare detailed, accurate specifications across furniture, lighting, plumbing, appliances, and finishes
• Manage procurement and execute projects seamlessly from concept through installation, in close coordination with contractors, vendors, and property teams
• Foster clear, consistent communication with clients, consultants, and internal team members
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while providing thoughtful updates to senior leadership

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or interior design
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite;
  Sketch Up and rendering tools preferred
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in high‑end residential interior design
• Demonstrated ability to produce full construction drawing sets, specifications, and schedules
• Strong project management and construction administration experience, including complex installations
• Experience with FF&E procurement and Studio Designer (or comparable software)
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and execution
• Strong presentation and client‑facing communication skills
• Deep familiarity with high‑end and bespoke vendors
