Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to develop architectural concepts and design solutions.
- Create and develop detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and sections.
- Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and client presentations.
- Produce accurate and visually appealing 3D renderings and models to convey design ideas.
- Assist in the selection of materials, finishes, and building systems.
- Conduct research on building codes, zoning regulations, and industry best practices.
- Prepare and update project documentation throughout different design phases.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to integrate their input into the design.
- Assist in conducting site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
- Support the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
- Uphold the firm's commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible design practices.
- Stay informed about emerging architectural trends, technologies, and materials.
- Help maintain an organized library of design resources and references.
- Contribute to design discussions and brainstorming sessions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 1+ years of experience in an architectural design role, preferably within an architecture firm.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong design sensibility and the ability to think creatively.
- Knowledge of architectural design principles, building systems, and construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and precision in design documentation.
- Passion for architecture and a desire to contribute to meaningful and impactful projects.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic design environment.
- A portfolio of previous architectural design work is preferred but not mandatory.
- Revit:
Extensive knowledge, residential and commercial drawing sets. - AutoCAD:
Extensive knowledge, ability to create clean and organized drawing sets using company standards. - Rhino3D:
Ability to model 3D architecture models and furniture. - Adobe InDesign:
Ability to create client quality presentations for print and screen. - Bluebeam Revu
