What You’ll Do- Discover & Define – Partner with PM + Eng to clarify problems, define scope, and set measurable outcomes even when the problem is fuzzy; lead discovery through interviews, task analyses, field/context research and turn insights into strategy.
- Design & Deliver – Design end‑to‑end flows across web and mobile, prototype quickly in Figma or Claude Code, validate with users and iterate; drive implementation with engineering and run final design reviews.
- System & Collaboration – Contribute to our design system in Figma, build scalable, accessible patterns, document rationale, build trusted relationships with PM, Eng, and CS, and facilitate alignment in ambiguity.
You’ve led complex product design projects from early discovery through launch, influencing product direction rather than just executing. Your portfolio demonstrates systems thinking, crisp UX, and the ability to simplify complex workflows.
You bring depth in user research and product judgment, know how to frame problems, validate solutions, and connect design choices to measurable outcomes.
You’re fluent in Figma and Claude Code, comfortable building and evolving design systems, and can prototype at multiple fidelities.
You’re a clear communicator who aligns cross‑functional partners and can act without waiting for perfect information.
You thrive in ambiguous, shifting‑priority environments and can decide when to dive deep and when to ship. You’re resourceful, collaborative, and humble, and you elevate teammates.
(Typically 5–8 years of product‑design experience, though we value impact over exact years.)
Bonus: experience in civic tech, climate tools, or other high‑stakes, data‑heavy domains.
