Design intern

Journey is looking for a design intern to join its team in New York.

As a design intern at Icrave, a studio of Journey, you will have the opportunity to work alongside brilliant, world‑class design professionals and contribute to exciting design projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking to enhance their skills and expand their portfolio in a supportive and creative environment.

• Collaborate with senior designers to develop innovative and highly detailed interior design spaces.
• Assist in the preparation of design presentations.
• Conduct research on industry trends, materials and furniture.
• Participate in client meetings and assist in preparing presentation materials.
• Create detailed drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support the procurement process by sourcing and selecting materials and furnishings.
• Assist in the coordination of project installations and site visits.

Successful candidates are creative, motivated, fearless and curious designers with a passion for architecture, interior design and the built environment and are currently pursuing or finishing pursuing a degree in interior design or architecture.

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and take direction from senior designers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

This position is for an in‑person internship program from our Broadway Studio in New York. On this occasion, we can only consider applications from those fully authorized to work in the U.S.

$25/hour
